Netflix has shared a new Wednesday Season 2 sneak peek for the highly anticipated return of the popular coming-of-age mystery comedy led by Jenna Ortega as the titular character. The next installment will be divided into two parts, with the first part debuting on August 6 and the second on September 3.
“Wednesday Addams returns to prowl the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy, where fresh foes and woes await,” reads the official logline for Season 2. “This season, Wednesday must navigate family, friends, and old adversaries, propelling her into another year of delightfully dark and kooky mayhem. Armed with her signature razor-sharp wit and deadpan charm, Wednesday is also plunged into a new bone-chilling supernatural mystery.”

What happens in the Wednesday Season 2 sneak peek?
The video continues to hype up the return of Ortega’s Wednesday Addams as she goes back to Nevermore Academy for a new school year. However, this time, she will be joined by her whole family, promising more chaotic Addams Family moments. The sneak peek also teased Wednesday and Morticia’s complicated dynamic, providing fans with a glimpse of their fencing scene together. The series is also led by Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Victor Dorobantu as Thing, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, Emma Myers as Enid, Hunter Doohan as Tyler, Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, Joy Sunday as Bianca, Moosa Mostafa as Eugene, Georgie Farmer as Ajax, and more.
The coming-of-age supernatural comedy is executive produced and directed by Tim Burton (Beetlejuice, Corpse Bride), with Ortega now set as a producer for Season 2. The next installment will also introduce new cast members Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah B. Taylor, Steve Buscemi, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Joonas Suotamo, and Anthony Michael Hall, with Christopher Lloyd and Lady Gaga. The Back to the Future vet originally portrayed Fester Addams in the original live-action movies, where he co-starred alongside Anjelica Huston and Raúl Juliá.
