Jurassic World Rebirth Trailer: Scarlett Johansson Faces New Dinosaurs

Universal Pictures has unveiled a brand new Jurassic World Rebirth trailer for Universal Pictures‘ newest installment to its blockbuster dinosaur franchise, which will now be led by Marvel Cinematic Universe vet Scarlett Johansson. The sequel is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 2, 2025.

The movie is directed by Gareth Edwards from a screenplay written by David Koepp, based on the characters created by Michael Crichton. It is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Denis L. Stewart, and Jim Spencer, with Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley serving as producers. The film is a production by Amblin Entertainment and Universal Pictures.

Who is in the Jurassic World Rebirth trailer?

The video provides moviegoers with a closer look at the main cast, including Johansson as she leads an extraction mission team to one of the most dangerous places on Earth where she’ll encounter new dinosaurs. Joining her are Bridgerton breakout star Jonathan Bailey as Dr. Henry Loomis, and Oscar winner Mahershala Ali as Duncan Kincaid. Joining them are Rupert Friend (Homeland), Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Lincoln Lawyer), Luna Blaise (Manifest), David Iacono (The Summer I Turned Pretty), and Audrina Miranda (Lopez vs. Lopez), Philippine Velge (Station Eleven), Bechir Sylvain (BMF), and Ed Skrein (Deadpool).

“Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

“Johansson plays skilled covert operations expert Zora Bennett, contracted to lead a skilled team on a top-secret mission to secure genetic material from the world’s three most massive dinosaurs. When Zora’s operation intersects with a civilian family whose boating expedition was capsized by marauding aquatic dinos, they all find themselves stranded on an island where they come face-to-face with a sinister, shocking discovery that’s been hidden from the world for decades.”
