Superman: Milly Alcock on if Supergirl Will Have a Cameo
Milly Alcock has addressed growing speculation about a rumored Supergirl cameo in James Gunn’s upcoming Superman film. Fans began theorizing about her appearance after spotting what looked like a Kryptonian figure in the trailer and noticing her name on Max’s official cast listing. With Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow on the horizon, Alcock responded to the buzz while promoting another project and shared new details about wrapping her solo DCU film.
Milly Alcock talks Supergirl cameo possibility in Superman
While promoting her new project, Sirens, Milly Alcock was asked by Extra whether she appears in the 2025 Superman movie. She replied, “I can’t speak on it…I don’t want to get sued!” Alcock also shared that she wrapped filming Supergirl just days before the interview and added, “I’m very, very excited…I think it’s actually gonna be a really good movie.”
During the interview, Alcock stated, “I can’t speak. I can’t speak on it. Yeah, I wrapped on Friday. I don’t want to get sued…No, I can’t, I really can’t. As much as I want to, I can’t. I literally wrapped on Friday. It’s a whirlwind, it’s a crazy, wonderful life.”
Alcock didn’t confirm her appearance, but Max’s official Superman cast page listed her name in May. This suggests she may have at least a cameo role. Her brief appearance could help establish her character, Kara Zor-El, in the DCU. Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is set to release about a year after Superman.
Rumors about her inclusion gained momentum after fans spotted a Kryptonian figure in Superman’s first trailer. The reflection appeared to resemble Alcock’s Supergirl. Theories suggest she could show up in a post-credits scene or have a short introduction. This would align with DC Studios’ plan to build a connected universe.
Superman, starring David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nicholas Hoult, hits theaters on July 11, 2025.
