Thunderbolts* Alternate Costumes for 2 MCU Characters Unveiled in New Concept Art

Alternative costumes for Ghost and Taskmaster, two MCU characters who appear in Thunderbolts*, have been revealed in some new concept art.

Marvel’s Thunderbolts* is now playing in United States theaters. Directed by Jake Schreier, the movie stars Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent, Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov/Taskmaster, Lewis Pullman as Bob Reynolds/Sentry, Geraldine Viswanathan as Mel, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.

What do the alternate Thunderbolts* costumes look like for Ghost and Taskmaster look like?

On Instagram, costume concept artist Constantine Sekeris revealed some early character designs for Ghost and Taskmaster that see them donning alternate costumes. View the posts below.

“In Thunderbolts*, Marvel Studios assembles an unconventional team of antiheroes — Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster, and John Walker,” the official synopsis for the movie reads. “After finding themselves ensnared in a death trap set by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, these disillusioned castoffs must embark on a dangerous mission that will force them to confront the darkest corners of their pasts. Will this dysfunctional group tear themselves apart, or find redemption and unite as something much more before it’s too late?”

Thunderbolts* is produced by Kevin Feige and executive produced by Louis D’Esposito, Brian Chapek, and Jason Tamez. Eric Pearson and Joanna Calo wrote the screenplay, based on a story by Pearson.

While Taskmaster, who was previously the antagonist of the 2021 Black Widow movie, won’t be appearing in Avengers: Doomsday, John-Kamen’s Ghost will be alongside Pugh, Stan, Russell, Pullman, and Harbour. That movie, which is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2026. The sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, then arrives on May 7, 2027.
