TMNT: Mutant Mayhem 2, The Legend of Aang Release Da tes Delayed
Paramount Pictures has officially decided to change the theatrical release dates for the three of its highly-anticipated animated features, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2, The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, and Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie. The latter two movies are slated for 2026 release dates, while Mutant Mayhem 2 will now be arriving in theaters in 2027.
What are the new release dates for TMNT: Mutant Mayhem 2, The Legend of Aang, and Paw Patrol 3?
Originally scheduled for a July 31, 2026 release, Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie will now be debuting in theaters a week earlier on July 24, 2026. Despite avoiding a direct box office competition against Marvel Studios: Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it will still be debuting in the same month as the Tom Holland sequel, the new Evil Dead movie, Minions 3, and the live-action Moana movie.
“After their ship gets caught in a mysterious storm, the PAW Patrol crash land on an uncharted tropical island filled with dinosaurs. They meet Rex, a pup who has been stranded on the island for years and has become an expert in all things dino-related,” reads the official synopsis. “When the PAW Patrol’s arch rival, Humdinger, begins recklessly mining in hopes of exploiting the island for its natural resources, he inadvertently causes a huge, dormant volcano to erupt. The PAW Patrol are thrown into a series of high-stakes, dino-sized rescues bigger than anything they’ve done before, as they must stop Humdinger before everything on the island goes extinct.”
As for The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, the first movie from Nickelodeon’s Avatar Studios has officially been pushed back from early 2026 to the fall of next year. Initially slated to arrive on January 30, 2026, the highly-anticipated fantasy adventure movie is now heading to theaters on October 9, 2026.
Set several years after the events of the original show, The Legend of Aang movie follows the beloved character’s young adult years. It will feature the voices of Dave Bautista, Dionne Quan, Jessica Matten, and South Korean singer-songwriter Eric Nam as the titular last surviving Airbender. In addition to the project’s release date delay, the studio has also unveiled a brand new logo for the movie.
Meanwhile, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2 has officially been moved to Paramount Pictures’ 2027 theatrical slate. Initially set for an October 2026 release, the Seth Rogen-produced sequel is now making its debut on September 17, 2027.
The sequel will once again be directed by Jeff Rowe. However, this time, he will be joined by co-directors Yashar Kassai and Kyle Spears. The voice cast will feature returning cast members Micah Abbey as Donatello, Shamon Brown Jr. as Michelangelo, Nicolas Cantu as Leonardo, Brady Noon as Raphael, and Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil.
