Yul Edochie Mourns Tragic Deaths of Cinematographers

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie has expressed grief over the deaths of two young cinematographers, Johnson and Gozman, who lost their lives in a tragic car accident along Port Harcourt Road.

According to reports, the duo had been returning from a colleague’s wedding when the fatal incident occurred, cutting short their promising careers in the film industry.

Their sudden passing adds to the growing list of recent losses that have cast a shadow over the Nigerian movie industry.

Taking to Instagram, Yul Edochie shared a candlelight tribute to honor the late filmmakers. In his heartfelt message, he lamented the string of unexpected deaths affecting Nollywood in recent weeks.

“Too many untimely deaths in Nollywood. Really sad. R.I.P. to our fallen brothers. May God grant your families the strength to bear this painful loss,” he wrote.

The tragic news follows the recent passing of actress Nkechi Nweje and veteran actor-turned-academic Columbus Irisoanga, whose death was confirmed by fellow thespian Hilda Dokubo. She described his passing as a heartbreaking blow to the industry.
