A Simple Favor 3 Gets Exciting Update for Blake Lively & Anna Kendrick Fans

Following the recent release of Another Simple Favor, director Paul Feig has expressed his hopes of making A Simple Favor 3 after having a fun time directing Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick. Unlike the first installment, the sequel has been receiving mixed reviews from critics. It currently holds a 63% Tomatometer rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 125 reviews.

“In the film, Stephanie Smothers and Emily Nelson reunite on the beautiful island of Capri, Italy, for Emily’s extravagant wedding to a rich Italian businessman,” reads the official synopsis. “Along with the glamorous guests, expect murder and betrayal to RSVP for a wedding with more twists and turns than the road from the Marina Grande to the Capri town square.”

Another Simple Favor was directed by Feig from a screenplay written by Jessica Sharzer and Laeta Kalogridis, based on the characters created by Darcey Bell. The filmmaker was also executive producing alongside Laura Fischer.

During a recent interview, Feig shared his potential ideas for A Simple Favor 3 as he expressed his eagerness to helm another sequel.

“The characters are fresh, and I like the places they’re in now,” Feig said. “They’re in very interesting places, just like the first movie put them in interesting places. And I think there’s just a lot more over-the-top international intrigue and style and fashion and crazy twists and turns to come.”

Joining Kendrick and Lively, the sequel also stars Henry Golding as Sean Townsend, Andrew Rannells as Darren, and Bashir Salahuddin as Detective Summerville, with new cast members Elizabeth Perkins as Margaret, Michele Morrone as Dante, Alex Newell as Vicky, Elena Sofia Ricci as Portia, and Allison Janney as Aunt Linda. The R-rated film was executive produced by Jennifer Booth, Sharzer, and Marco Valerio Pugini, with Feig and Laura Fischer serving as producers.
