El Clasico: Flick identifies one major area Barcelona must improve after Real Madrid win
Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick has revealed one major area his team must improve after their LaLiga El Clasico victory against Real Madrid on Sunday.
Kylian Mbappe scored a 14-minute brace as Real Madrid stormed to an early 2-0 lead to silence Barcelona fans at Camp Nou.
But Hansi Flick’s side responded emphatically a few minutes later as Eric Garcia and Yamal both scored before Raphinha’s brace gave the hosts a 4-2 win at half time.
Mbappe then completed his hat-trick in the second half as the match ended in a 4-3 victory in favour of Barca at Camp Nou.
Speaking at his post-match interview, Flick admitted that Barcelona need to improve a lot in defence.
“It’s fantastic for the fans and the players. Real Madrid has a great team, but we managed to come back from 2-0 down,” Flick told the Spanish media at his post-match press conference.
“After the game in Milan, with 120 minutes, it was not easy.
“It’s easy to say, ‘If you score four, fine, let them score three’, but we have to improve a lot in defence,” he added.
The result leaves the Blaugrana on top of the LaLiga table with seven points ahead of Real Madrid.
