Comedian Deeone Slams Davido for Supporting VeryDarkMan

Controversial Nigerian comedian, Deeone, has taken a swipe at superstar singer Davido over his public show of support for online activist VeryDarkMan.

Davido recently joined a growing number of voices calling for the release of VeryDarkMan, who was reportedly arrested by security operatives. However, Deeone believes the singer’s involvement is insincere and driven by self-interest.

In a reaction shared online, Deeone accused Davido of leveraging the situation to gain publicity for his newly released album. He described the support as “fake love” and alleged that the timing of Davido’s statement was more about boosting attention than genuine concern.

Deeone further argued that such antics are why Davido cannot be compared with music heavyweights like Wizkid or Burna Boy. He implied that Davido’s perceived need to attach himself to trending issues weakens his credibility as an artist.
