Popular Nigerian socialite Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chiefpriest, has issued a strong warning on social media, advising against the tradition of spraying money at parties.

In a heartfelt message shared on May 1, 2025, the celebrity barman recalled a close brush with the law in 2024, when he nearly faced jail time for engaging in the practice. He emphasized that high-profile individuals, especially successful businessmen, need to be cautious as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is intensifying its efforts to clamp down on such activities.

Chiefpriest went on to declare that he would no longer participate in spraying money at events—regardless of the currency. He revealed plans to develop an alternative way to express affluence at social gatherings without attracting legal trouble, noting that flaunting cash now is a guaranteed way to draw EFCC attention.

His comments came in the wake of fellow socialite Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E Money, being apprehended by the EFCC at his Lagos residence and taken to Abuja for interrogation. E Money was later released after a brief detention.
