Nigerian singer Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, has expressed excitement as his hit track Shake Body finds new life, trending again nearly a decade after its original release.

The renewed attention comes after Barcelona’s teenage football sensation, Lamine Yamal, sparked a viral dance trend featuring the song.

Taking to his X platform, Skales shared how the resurgence has reignited his spirit, calling it a fresh start for his career. He also pleaded with fans to let him enjoy the moment without drawing unnecessary comparisons to other artists.

“I feel like my life just restarted again… I’m nothing but a learner. Please allow me to enjoy this moment without disrespecting anyone who has achieved more than me. God is the greatest… let’s grow together, y’all,” he wrote.

Skales recently met Yamal and his mother after Barcelona’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final at Estadio La Cartuja de Sevilla.

Originally released in 2015, Shake Body has experienced a resurgence, fueled by a viral clip of Spanish stars Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams, and Samu Omorodion dancing to the catchy track.
