Comic actor Okon Lagos has weighed in on the arrest of businessman E-Money by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged abuse of the Naira and Dollar at Obi Cubana’s birthday party.

Earlier yesterday, Waploaded reported that the EFCC detained E-Money, sparking an outcry online. Critics pointed out that while the billionaire’s children were allegedly left unchecked, there were accusations of Naira abuse at the event.

In his response to the arrest, Okon Lagos questioned why E-Money was being held accountable for “abusing” the dollar in a country where the foreign currency continues to undermine the local currency. He expressed his disapproval of the EFCC’s focus on this issue, suggesting that the commission should instead prioritize the incarceration of corrupt leaders who are responsible for the economic challenges Nigeria faces.

Okon Lagos shared his thoughts, urging the EFCC to focus on the “bad, corrupt leaders who ruin the economy,” while the Naira struggles against the dominance of the Dollar.

Despite the controversy, E-Money was released from custody a few hours later, after his arrest had made headlines.
