Scarlett Johansson set to host SNL along with Walton Goggins

NBC’s Saturday Night Live is preparing to wrap up its 50th season with two major names. Walton Goggins and Scarlett Johansson have been announced as the final two to lead the show, with episodes scheduled for May 10 and May 17.

Goggins is stepping onto the SNL stage for the first time on May 10. Known for his performances in The White Lotus Season 3, the actor is set to make his hosting debut. Arcade Fire will be joining him as the musical guest. The band’s appearance comes just one day after the release of their seventh studio album, Pink Elephant.

Scarlett Johansson will return as host for the seventh time on May 17, closing out the season. The actress made her debut as host in 2006 and has since returned multiple times, including appearances in 2007, 2010, 2015, 2017, and 2019. Married to Weekend Update co-anchor Colin Jost, she also recently made a cameo earlier this season, reprising her role as Ivanka Trump in the “White POTUS” sketch. She was also featured during the SNL 50 anniversary programming.

Her episode will include musical guest Bad Bunny, making his third appearance on the show. He previously served as a musical guest in 2021 and as both host and performer in October 2023. His sixth studio album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, was released earlier this year.

As part of the season finale, fans can also expect the traditional Weekend Update joke swap between Michael Che and Colin Jost. During the last installment, the joke, written by Michael Che and delivered by Jost, was directed at Johansson. She later described the joke as “gross” and “vulgar.” (via Deadline)
