Blake Lively & Taylor Swift Recover Friendship Amid Lawsuit Drama — Report
Blake Lively and Taylor Swift have reportedly repaired their friendship amid the ongoing lawsuit drama involving Justin Baldoni. The legal dispute, centered around It Ends with Us, named Swift in Baldoni’s defamation countersuit following Lively’s initial sexual harassment claims.
Taylor Swift is ‘relieved’ to recover her friendship with Blake Lively
A source speaking to PEOPLE said Taylor Swift felt “really hurt” after Blake Lively’s legal dispute with Justin Baldoni implicated her.
According to the source, Baldoni named Swift in his defamation countersuit. He filed the suit in response to Lively’s sexual harassment allegations against her It Ends with Us co-star and director. The complaint reportedly included a text exchange where Lively referred to Swift as one of her “dragons.”
The filing claims Swift pressured Baldoni to accept screenplay rewrites. During a meeting at the couple’s penthouse, she reportedly praised Lively’s version of the script. Baldoni said her comments allegedly carried an implied message: he should follow Lively’s direction.
He later texted Lively that the changes were “so much more fun and interesting,” and said he “would have felt that way without Ryan and Taylor,” accompanied by a playful emoji. Lively allegedly replied by calling Reynolds and Swift her “dragons” and “Dance Moms level stage moms.”
An insider told PEOPLE that despite the tension, “Blake knew she and Taylor would come back from this at some point.” Swift, who contributed the track “my tears ricochet” to the film and its trailer, has not publicly addressed the lawsuit or her involvement. The source added, “Taylor was really hurt by this situation, so she’s relieved they were able to recover from this and put it all behind them.”
Lively filed her initial lawsuit in December, accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment, “unprofessional” behavior, and a retaliatory smear campaign; Baldoni denied the allegations. In January, he filed a countersuit that included Swift and Ryan Reynolds among those allegedly involved in pressuring him.
The court has scheduled the trial for Lively v. Wayfarer Studios et al. for March 2026 to address both lawsuits.
