Stranger Things Season 5’s Noah Schnapp Teases Its Devastating Finale

Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers in the Netflix series Stranger Things, recently warned fans that the Season 5 finale of the popular series would make them “sad” and “devastated.” The show premiered in 2016 and has since become a global hit. The fifth and final season comes out sometime in 2025.

Schnapp told The Hollywood Reporter that “people are going to be truly devastated” when they watch Stranger Things Season 5. The 20-year-old actor and other people involved with the show were making an appearance on the Broadway opening night of Stranger Things: The First Shadow in New York. The production was previously staged at London’s West End.

“As sad as it was, I’m so excited to see the world’s reaction to watching the finale because there’s not going to be a dry eye, it’s going to be sad,” Schnapp humorously said, adding, “Not to be so negative, it is a really great season and people will love it.”

Stranger Things was created by the Duffer Brothers (Matt and Ross) and has since come to be regarded as a flagship show for Netflix. Ross Duffer, who was also present at the event, noted that the upcoming season of the show was “the end of a long journey, for everyone who made the show and also for those characters.” He assured the fans that it would be “thrilling” and revealed that the heroes of the story would immediately be in action from the beginning of the season. Duffer elaborated, “I think ultimately, hopefully, it’s our most emotional season yet. Those final episodes, the goal is that they hit pretty hard because in a lot of ways it’s about the end of this journey we’ve all had and also the end of childhood.”

Besides Schnapp, Stranger Things Season 5 stars Winona Ryder as Joyce, David Harbour as Jim, Finn Wolfhard as Mike, and Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven / Jane.
