Fintiri urges heightened community vigilance as insecurity worsens in northern Adamawa

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has called on residents in the northern parts of the state to intensify vigilance amid growing security threats in the region.

Returning from Easter celebrations in his hometown of Gulak, the Governor paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, Professor Bulus Gadiga, the paramount ruler of Michika Chiefdom. During the visit, Fintiri extended Easter greetings and used the occasion to raise concern over the rising insecurity along the state’s remote hinterlands.

Addressing the Michika community, Fintiri emphasized the importance of staying alert and cooperating with security agencies through timely sharing of credible intelligence. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to completing all ongoing projects and initiating new development efforts in the area.

In his remarks, HRH Prof. Gadiga expressed gratitude for the creation of the Chiefdom and acknowledged visible developmental strides under Fintiri’s leadership. He said district heads had been tasked with monitoring movement in and out of the communities to boost security.

Commending the role of security personnel in the region, the royal father urged residents to continue supporting their efforts. He also encouraged local youth to embrace farming ahead of the rainy season as a sustainable livelihood path, helping to reduce overdependence on government support.

HRH Gadiga reaffirmed the Chiefdom’s unwavering loyalty to Governor Fintiri and offered prayers for the Governor’s continued success and effective governance.
