Daredevil: Born Again Season 2’s Release Date Window Is the Same as Season 1
Dario Scardapane, the showrunner of the MCU series Daredevil: Born Again, has announced the exact release date window for Season 2 of the series. The first season premiered on Disney+ on March 4, 2025, and streamed for nine episodes before concluding on April 15, 2025.
Dario Scardapane reveals Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will get a March 2026 release date
Scardapane took to Instagram after the Season 1 finale to thank the cast, crew, and the studio. He also revealed that Season 2 was coming out in March 2026, exactly a year after the premiere of the inaugural season.
“It’s all led up to this… Such a mix of emotions as we close out S1,” Scardapane wrote in the caption of a clip featuring scenes from the finale. “So grateful for the cast, crew and studio for their confidence and indulgence. Biggest of thanks to Sana, Brad, Kevin, Lou, Aaron, Justin, Charlie, Vincent, Deb, Jon and the whole mad circus. And yeah, Season 2 March 2026,” he added.
This is in line with what Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios’ Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation, told The REEL Roundup in February 2025. Answering a question about when the viewers can expect to see Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock / Daredevil, Winderbaum responded, “We start shooting season two next week. That’ll come out about a year from now. So hopefully we’ll be able to expect a new Daredevil season annually.”
Work on the sophomore season has reportedly been underway for some time. Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays Wilson Fisk / Kingpin in the show, shared a message from the set after the finale started streaming, confirming that filming for the next season had begun.
The Season 1 finale perfectly sets up the stage for the sophomore season. Fisk and his wife, Vanessa (Ayelet Zurer), effectively imprison their enemies and eliminate all voices of dissent in their own ranks. Toward the end of the episode, Matt decides to build an army to take on the Fisks, and the post-credits scene shows the Punisher escaping from captivity.
