Nollywood actor Habeeb Alagbe has shared the emotional struggles he faced early in his career due to his slim physique.

Speaking during an interview on Babaibe TV’s YouTube channel, Alagbe revealed that his body size became a barrier, with some actors refusing to cast him simply because of how he looked.

He admitted the rejection deeply affected him, often leaving him in tears as he battled to find acting opportunities in a competitive industry that didn’t initially accept his appearance.

Despite these challenges, Alagbe’s story stands as a testament to resilience in the face of industry stereotypes.

Alagbe said: “I started my film making career with English series movies on television channels. Sometimes when some actors invite me to feature in their movies and I’m given a movie script to work with, they always confess that I’m a good actor.

“Some actors said I have a small body and I’m too skinny, so they refused to give me movie roles. The rejection I got made me cry so many times because I’m not God, who created me this way.”
