Ryan Reynolds was recently spotted leaving New York City alone amidst his wife Blake Lively‘s legal battle with Justin Baldoni. The 48 year-old star looked rather anxious in the outing, which occurs days after Baldoni slammed the Deadpool actor, calling him a “co-conspirator” of Lively’s in their legal drama.
Ryan Reynolds spotted leaving NYC amid wife’s lawsuit drama
On April 9, Wednesday, a tense Ryan Reynolds was photographed walking at the John F. Kennedy International Airport, accompanied by his assistant.
The Deadpool & Wolverine star was seen sporting a black baseball cap, spectacles, a beige hoodie, and black pants. He completed the look with white sneakers. He was also seen carrying a dark brown duffle bag (via The Daily Mail).
Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively, was nowhere to be seen. Recently, Reynolds was seen taking a casual stroll in New York City. His clothing ensemble in the outing consisted of a gray cardigan, pants, a peach, plum and orange striped wool t-shirt. He topped off the look with sunglasses and white sneakers. Lively did not accompany Reynolds in this outing as well (via US Weekly).
In January 2025, Baldoni filed a $400 million lawsuit against Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, publicist Leslie Sloane, and The New York Times and others, accusing them of civil extortion, defamation, false light invasion of privacy, breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, among other things (via The Independent).
Baldoni also sent Disney and Kevin Feige a litigation letter to hold documents to back his claims that Reynolds’ Deadpool & Wolverine character, Nicepool was used by the actor to “bully” him (via Variety).
Reynolds retaliated by filing a motion to dismiss Baldoni’s lawsuit, calling the latter’s claims about Nicepool “a thin-skinned outrage” (via The Daily Guardian). Baldoni later filed a response in court, asking the judge to deny Reynolds’ motion to dismiss the lawsuit, calling the latter a co-conspirator.
