Mr. Macaroni Calls For Justice As Patience Jonathan Faces Allegations Of Detaining Domestic Workers

Nigerian content creator and activist, Adebowale Adedayo, popularly known as Mr. Macaroni, has voiced his concerns following reports that former First Lady Patience Jonathan allegedly kept 15 domestic workers in detention since 2019 over the disappearance of jewellery.

Mr. Macaroni expressed his distress over the situation, highlighting the unjust nature of the allegations. He questioned whether Patience Jonathan had any recollection of the domestic workers still being incarcerated.

The activist urged Nigerians to stand against the misuse of power by the wealthy and influential, who continue to oppress those who lack the means to defend themselves. He criticized the prolonged detention of the workers, emphasizing that individuals should be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Mr Macaroni wrote, “The injustice in this country is so painful!!!

“According to this report, these men and women have been locked up for over five years without a court conviction!!

“Does Madam Patience Jonathan even remember that they are still in Prison???

“We must stand against this pattern of abusing power that allows rich or influential people lock up others because they cannot speak or fight for themselves. By law, they are innocent until proven guilty!”
