Uriel Oputa, a former Big Brother Naija contestant, is garnering significant admiration from Nigerians after she expressed her desire to adopt a baby girl found abandoned by a river in Kogi State.

A viral video reveals that the infant was discovered crying near the Niger Bridge in the Ajaokuta region by a community leader. He was drawn to her cries and was surprised to find her alone, wrapped in baby clothes with a few belongings nearby.

Omera Ugbede Opaluwa, a local who shared the video, confirmed that the child has been rescued and is being cared for by community members while they await assistance from local authorities.

Uriel responded to the heartbreaking news in a popular blog’s comment section, making an emotional plea to be allowed to adopt the child.

She promised to provide a loving home and ensure the baby would never go hungry.

“Pls let me have her. She will never go hungry,” Uriel wrote.

Her comment has since gained widespread attention, with many praising her kindness.
