The Accountant 2 Trailer Sets Early Screenings Date for Ben Affleck Movie

Amazon MGM Studios has shared The Accountant 2 trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel to Ben Affleck‘s 2016 action thriller. The movie had its world premiere at the recent South by Southwest Film Festival, where it won the Headliner Audience Award.

“In the film, Christian Wolff has a talent for solving complex problems. When an old acquaintance is murdered, leaving behind a cryptic message to ‘find the accountant,’ Wolff is compelled to solve the case. Realizing more extreme measures are necessary, Wolff recruits his estranged and highly lethal brother, Brax (Jon Bernthal), to help,” reads the official synopsis. “In partnership with U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina, they uncover a deadly conspiracy, becoming targets of a ruthless network of killers who will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried.”

When is The Accountant 2 early screenings date?

In time for this year’s US Tax Day, Amazon MGM Studios will hold early screenings of The Accountant 2 on April 15. This will be followed by its global theatrical release on April 25, pitting it directly against Sony Pictures’ Until Dawn movie and RLJE Films’ crime thriller Neighborhood Watch at the box office.

The R-rated sequel is directed by Gavin O’Connor from a screenplay written by Bill Dubuque. It currently has a total runtime of 125 minutes, or 2 hours and 5 minutes. Daredevil: Born Again star Jon Bernthal is also leading the cast as Brax, the brother of Affleck’s character. Joining them are Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Daniella Pineda, Allison Robertson, and J.K. Simmons. It is produced by Affleck, Lynette Howell Taylor, and Mark Williams.
