The Chris Hemsworth-led Crime 101 has received its first trailer at the 2025 CinemaCon. While the snippet has yet to make its way to the internet, DiscussingFilm has shared a detailed account of the footage that premiered at the event.
The trailer for Crime 101 showcases different perspectives of the film’s leading characters, including Hemsworth’s jewel thief, a broker played by Halle Berry, Mark Ruffalo’s committed detective, as well as a conflicted teenager who adores motorcycles, portrayed by Barry Keoghan. The plot revolves around Hemsworth and Keoghan’s characters, who decide to join forces to execute a heist and steal $11 million up for grabs.
However, the dedication of Ruffalo’s detective to crack down on his case and Keoghan’s unpredictable nature inadvertently end up complicating things. As they gradually disclose their real intentions, tensions rise, providing a glimpse of the intensity that viewers can expect from the movie.
Aside from the aforementioned actors, Crime 101 also features the likes of Monica Barbaro and Jennifer Jason Leigh in key roles. Helmed by Bart Layton, the film draws inspiration from Don Winslow’s novel of the same name. While the project has yet to receive an official release date, it is expected to hit theaters sometime in 2025.
