Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld Trailer Announces Cast & Release Date for Disney+ Show
The first trailer for Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld has been released.
Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld is a Lucasfilm Animation anthology series that comes from Dave Filoni. This series began in 2022 with Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi and then continued in 2024 with Star Wars: Tales of the Empire. The show will premiere exclusively on Disney+ this coming May.

What happens in the Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld trailer?
The Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld trailer reintroduces fans to Asajj Ventress, a character who was introduced in the 2003 Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series and formerly served as the personal assassin of Sith Lord Count Dooku. Also included in the footage is Cad Bane, a mercenary who comes from planet Duro and made his first appearance in the 2008 Star Wars: The Clone Wars show.
“Former assassin and bounty hunter Asajj Ventress is given a new chance at life and must go on the run with an unexpected new ally, while outlaw Cad Bane faces his past when he confronts an old friend, now a Marshal on the opposite side of the law,” a description of the show reads.
The voice cast of the show includes Nika Futterman, Corey Burton, Artt Butler, Lane Factor, AJ LoCascio, Clare Grant, Dawn-Lyen Gardner, and Eric Lopez.
Filoni created the series and serves as the supervising director. He also executive producers alongside Athena Yvette Portillo and Carrie Beck. Matt Michnovetz is the writer, while Alex Spotswood serves as senior producer and Josh Rimes as co-executive producer.
Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld will premiere on Disney+ on May 4, 2025. Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi and Star Wars: Tales of the Empire, meanwhile, are both currently available to watch on the streaming platform.
