Superman: How To Watch DCU Movie’s Extended Preview This Weekend

Superman fans will have the opportunity to see an extended preview for the DCU movie in theaters this coming weekend.

James Gunn’s Superman movie releases in United States theaters this coming July. David Corenswet is playing the titular superhero in the movie, while Rachel Brosnahan is portraying Lois Lane. New footage of Superman was shown at CinemaCon earlier this week; however, it has not yet made its way online.

How can DCU fans watch the extended Superman trailer?

The official X account for the Superman movie has announced that the extended trailer is tied to the theatrical release of A Minecraft Movie. Anyone seeing the movie in theaters this weekend will also be able to see the new Superman preview.

Written and directed by Gunn, Superman will be the first feature film set within the DCU. The cast of the movie also includes Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt/Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason/Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, Neva Howell as Martha Kent, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, and Terence Rosemore as Otis.

“Superman, DC Studios’ first feature film to hit the big screen, is set to soar into theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros. Pictures,” the synopsis for the movie reads. “In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor, and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind.”

Superman will be released in United States theaters on July 11, 2025. A Minecraft Movie, which is also a Warner Bros. Pictures release, officially opens on April 4, 2025.
