House of the Dragon Season 3 Cast Adds Sons of Anarchy & Walking Dead Stars

HBO has enlisted two new cast members who will be joining the House of the Dragon Season 3 for the highly-anticipated return of the hit fantasy drama. In addition to the casting news, it has also been announced that production on the next installment has finally commenced.

Who is joining the House of the Dragon Season 3 cast?

Tommy Flanagan (Sons of Anarchy) and Dan Fogler (The Walking Dead) have officially been tapped to portray the respective roles of Ser Roderick Dustin and Ser Torrhen Manderly. Beside them, Season 3 will also introduced Little Women’s James Norton as Ormund Hightower. The directing line-up for the new installment will consist of Clare Kilner, Nina Lopez-Corrado, Andrij Parekh, and Loni Peristere.

House of the Dragon Season 3 will once again feature returning cast members Emma D’Arcy as Rhaenyra, Matt Smith as Daemon, Olivia Cooke as Alicent, Rhys Ifans as Otto, Steve Toussaint as Corlys, Sonoya Mizuno as Mysaria, Fabien Frankel as Criston Cole, Harry Collett as Jace, Tom Glynn-Carney as Aegon II, Ewan Mitchell as Aemond, Bethany Antonia as Baela, Phoebe Campbell as Rhaena, Phia Saban as Helaena, Tom Bennett as Ulf White, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne, and more.

Based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood novel, the prequel chronicles the rise and the downfall of the Targaryens — the only family of dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria. It takes place 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. The spin-off is created by Martin and showrunner Ryan Condal, who are executive producing alongside Sara Hess, Melissa Bernstein, Kevin de la Noy, Vince Gerardis, David Hancock, and Philippa Goslett.
