Popular skit maker Deacon Famous has finally addressed the tension surrounding his fallout with long-time best friend, actress Ekene Umenwa.

Speculation around their strained relationship began when fans noticed the duo had unfollowed each other on Instagram, raising eyebrows about the state of their friendship.

According to entertainment blogger Cutie Juls, the rift allegedly began after Ekene publicly celebrated Deacon Famous’ ex-girlfriend, Ada Uli, on her birthday. The post reportedly didn’t sit well with Deacon Famous’ wife, who was said to be uncomfortable with Ekene’s continued relationship with her husband’s ex.

These rumors fueled public assumptions that the skit maker cut ties with Ekene due to his wife’s influence.

However, Deacon Famous has refuted the claims. When a curious fan asked in the comment section if his decision to unfollow Ekene was because of his wife, he firmly denied it, suggesting there were deeper reasons behind the fallout not related to his marriage.
