When is the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 trailer release date?
In a new post shared by producer Jason Blum, it has been confirmed that the first trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 will officially be released next week on April 3.
Further details about the sequel’s plot are still being kept under wraps, but Scream vet Matthew Lillard is expected to reprise his villainous role as William Afton. In the 2023 movie, the character was initially introduced as a career counselor who was later revealed to be a serial killer. Besides Lillard, Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games films) is also slated to return as Mike Schmidt, who was introduced as a security guard in the first installment.
The Five Nights at Freddy’s movie was based on Scott Cawthon’s popular horror video game of the same name. Director Emma Tammi is returning for the sequel, along with co-writers Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback. At the moment, the studio hasn’t revealed the new cast members for the sequel. Despite receiving negative reviews from critics, the first movie still earned a worldwide gross of over $280 million worldwide against a reported budget of around $20 million.
