Lucasfilm has shared a new Andor Season 2 trailer for the highly-anticipated next installment of the acclaimed Star Wars prequel series. The second and final installment is scheduled to make its debut on April 22, 2025.

“Season 2 takes place as the horizon of war draws near and Cassian becomes a key player in the Rebel Alliance. Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound,” reads the official synopsis. “Rife with political intrigue and danger, Andor sets the clock back five years from the events of Rogue One to tell the story of the film’s hero, Cassian Andor, and his transformation from disinterested, cynical nobody into a rebel hero on his way to an epic destiny.”

What happens in the Andor Season 2 trailer?

The video continues to hype up the start of the rebellion, teasing the key events that will lead to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It also features some of the main characters starting to get ready to fight together against the Empire. The final season will unfold over 12 episodes broken down into four chapters of three episodes each.

Andor is executive produced by showrunner and creator Tony Gilroy, who also wrote the first three episodes of the final installment. Season 2 will star Diego Luna, Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O’Reilly, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Alan Tudyk, Faye Marsay, Varada Sethu, and Elizabeth Dulau. Franchise alums Ben Mendelsohn and Forest Whitaker are also reprising their respective roles as Saw Gerrera and Orson Krennic.
