Uche Montana reacts to Best Lead Actress at the AMVCA 2025 nomination

Uche Montana, a Nollywood actress, was overcome with emotion after being nominated for Best Lead Actress at the 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

She received the nomination for her role in Thin Line, competing against Chioma Chukwuka (Seven Doors), Gbubemi Ejeye (Farmer’s Bride), Uzoamaka Onuoha (Agemo), Uzoamaka Aniunoh (Phoenix Fury), Hilda Dokubo (Wives on Strike 3), and Bimbo Ademoye (Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre) in a tough category.

Upon learning of her nomination, Uche posted a video on her Instagram story, filled with joy and disbelief. She shouted in excitement, clearly thrilled by the recognition.

Montana expressed her gratitude to the film’s producer, Mercy Aigbe, for believing in her and giving her the chance to shine. She also thanked the entire team behind Thin Line for their contributions to the project’s success.
