Kang Actor Jonathan Majors ‘Loves’ Disney & Would Return if Asked

Jonathan Majors recently spoke about his desire to return as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Majors is currently gearing up for the release of his movie Magazine Dreams, which will be released in the US on March 21, 2025. The movie stars Majors as bodybuilder Killian Maddox, alongside co-stars Harriet Sansom Harris, Haley Bennett, and Taylour Paige.

Magazine Dreams star Jonathan Majors wants to return as Kang

Jonathan Majors recently shared in an interview with USA Today that he would be open to playing Kang again.

Majors didn’t hesitate to say that he would return to play Kang if Marvel called. He said, “Disney, Marvel Studios, I love them. Tom Hiddleston, loved working with that guy. Loved working with Paul Rudd. Loved working with Gugu Mbatha-Raw. I love the industry so much, and now I’m in the place where I can feel the love from them and actually express my love for them.”

The Lovecraft Country star portrayed various variants of the supervillain in both seasons of Loki and in the movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. However, he was dropped from the role in December 2023 after he was found guilty of second-degree harassment and misdemeanor assault of his ex Grace Jabbari. The arrest happened in March 2023. After being convicted, Majors was ordered to undergo a compulsory 52-week domestic violence intervention program in April 2024.

Majors’ Kang the Conqueror was reportedly supposed to appear in Avengers: Kang Dynasty as the main antagonist of the Multiverse saga. However, after his conviction, Marvel Studios fired him and rebranded Kang Dynasty as Avengers: Doomsday which will now feature Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.

In another interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jonathan Majors voiced similar thoughts of being willing to return as Kang. Although he asserted, “The version of me that would come back would be different.”
