Blaqbonez reacts to Reps’ ban on adult sites

Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, widely recognized as Blaqbonez, has expressed his views regarding the House of Representatives’ recent directive to completely shut down pornographic websites across the nation.

On Tuesday, the blue chamber of the federal legislature mandated the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the regulatory body for telecommunications, to restrict access to all pornographic sites in Nigeria.

This decision has sparked a variety of responses from the Nigerian populace; while some individuals support the initiative, arguing that it will enhance moral standards, others believe that the lawmakers have overstepped their authority.

In his response to this development on his X account, Blaqbonez indicated that the ban reflects a misalignment of priorities among Nigerian politicians.

The artist referenced well-known adult film star Destiny Mira, asserting that adult films like hers provide comfort to citizens during challenging times.

In a post on his verified social media account, Blaqbonez remarked, “This country is funny. Destiny Mira, who helps us through tough times, and they want to ban her.”
