Netflix has shared the full You Season 5 trailer for the upcoming fifth and final installment to the popular psychological thriller drama, starring Gossip Girl vet Penn Badgley. The series is slated to make its long-awaited return on April 24, 2025.
“In the epic fifth and final season, Joe Goldberg returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after… until his perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of his past and his own dark desires,” reads the official logline.

What happens in the You Season 5 trailer?
The video highlights Joe Goldberg’s return to New York City, as he becomes famous after marrying the very wealthy Kate Lockwood. However, his now perfect life will soon get threatened by dark impulses once again, after he sets his sights on another potential obsession. The trailer also teases how Joe will lose control, as his past mistakes come back to haunt him.
You was developed by Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti, with Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo now serving as Season 5 showrunners. Season 5 will also star Madeline Brewer (The Handmaid’s Tale) as Bronte, Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect) as twin sisters Reagan and Maddie Lockwood, Griffin Matthews (She-Hulk) as Teddy Lockwood, Natasha Behnam (The Girls on the Bus) as Dominique, Pete Ploszek (Parks & Recreation, Shameless) as Harrison, Tom Francis (Sunset Boulevard) as Clayton, and b (We Crashed) as Phoenix.
The series centers around Joe Goldberg, a toxic and delusional stalker who tends to become extremely obsessed with every girl he falls in love with.
