Three arrested over electric cable theft in Adamawa

Adamawa State Police Command has arrested three individuals for allegedly vandalizing and stealing large quantities of electrical cables in Bororo, a village in Michika Local Government Area.

The Command said on Monday that earlier on Sunday, March 9, 2025, its surveillance team attached to Michika Divisional police headquarters intercepted and arrested the suspects

The command identified the suspects as Emmanuel John, 34 years old; Habila Kwaji, 21 years old; and Mohammed Garba, 28 years old.

https://dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/1-12.jpgIn a statement released by the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the Command said the suspects were arrested after they took possession of the electrical power cables that were vandalized and stolen along Bororo village.

“During preliminary investigation, the three suspects confessed to the crime and are currently in police custody for further investigation and more recovery,” the command stated.

It added that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, who appreciated his officers for effecting the arrest of the suspects, warned against acts of vandalising public infrastructure and assured that whoever was ever caught for the offence would be prosecuted.
