“Praying to God on something you know you got through sin is disrespectful” – OAP Dotun reveals

OAP Dotun asserts that Nigerians have come to accept the practice of associating ill-gotten wealth with divine providence.

In a post shared on X, Dotun expressed that it is disrespectful to pray to God for something one is aware was acquired through sinful means. He contended that while God does not judge or condemn people, it is essential to show God the respect He deserves.

“My God does not judge neither does he condemn you but he still needs to be respected. Praying to God on something you know you got through sin is disrespectful. The devil also gives but how come you don’t pray to him when he gives? We have normalized bad wealth as God’s.”

“It might seem fair to validate people’s wealth no matter how they acquired it. What’s not fair is validating how it is okay to be crooked to make it and make an excuse on why God doesn’t judge. He doesn’t but don’t mislead people.”

“Wealth is good. What’s not good is wealth you know deep inside that you acquired to pressure others; using God as your reason to do that is what’s wrong, Most of us are guilty of this but awareness also means even if we are foolish & know you got it, let’s leave God out of it.”
