Woli Arole Blasts Gospel Music Industry For Hypocrisy & Worldliness
Prominent comedian and actor-turned-preacher Oluwatoyin Bayegun, widely recognized as Woli Arole, has expressed his apprehensions regarding the prevailing trends within the Nigerian gospel music industry.
He voiced his concerns that the industry is increasingly dominated by “hypocrisy, worldliness, and cabalism.”
Furthermore, he observed that the selection of ministers for engagements is now more reliant on personal connections than on the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
The passionate preacher remarked that it has become challenging to differentiate between a gospel music minister and a secular artist.
In a recent Instagram post, he wrote: “The level of hypocrisy, worldliness, and cabalism in the gospel music industry in Nigeria is alarming. Oh yes! Invitations are based on who you know, not as the Spirit leads. Music ministers too—we can’t differentiate whether you’re a performer or a minister. It’s well!”
