Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 to Bring Back [Spoiler] Even After Death

While fans got to see Charlie Cox don his iconic red costume after a prolonged time in Daredevil: Born Again, excitement soon gave way to surprise due to a shocking death at the end of Episode 1. The unexpected nature of the incident had many viewers questioning if this was the last they saw of the said character. Nevertheless, the recent comments made by Marvel’s Head of TV, Streaming, and Animation, Brad Winderbaum have suggested that fans need not worry as the character will return in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.

Foggy Nelson confirmed to return in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

In a recent discussion, Brad Winderbaum admitted that Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson, despite seemingly meeting his end in the first episode, will take part in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.

While speaking with Brandon Davis, the veteran Marvel executive stated that there would be no story without either Foggy or Karen. Then, he confirmed that the two closest links to Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdoch would return for the sophomore outing of Daredevil: Born Again. Winderbaum noted, “Without going into spoiler territory, I will say that both Deborah [Ann Woll] and Elden [Henson] are coming back for Season 2.”

Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson shockingly loses his life in the premiere episode of Born Again at the hands of Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, AKA Bullseye. The unforeseen tragedy occurs in the dying moments of the first episode after Foggy receives an ominous call from a client while partying with his friends. However, as soon as he exits the bar, Bullseye manages to shoot him in the chest, ending his life in the process.

Nonetheless, with Winderbaum’s statements indicating that Elden Henson will reprise his role in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, the creators could reveal in the sequel edition that his death was actually a ruse. This would align with Foggy Nelson’s arc in the comics, where he also came back to life after faking his demise. The alternate scenario that would justify Henson’s could be through flashbacks.
