FCT police foil arms deal, arrest ex-immigration officer in Abuja

Operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit under the FCT Police Command have apprehended a former immigration officer attempting to sell two rifles to bandits in Zuma, a community within the Bwari Area Council that borders Kaduna State.

The Commissioner of Police, Rilwan Disu, made this known on Wednesday while addressing journalists about the achievements of the command from January to date.

CP Disu stated that the suspect was arrested based on credible intelligence received by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, leading to a swift operation led by Mustapha Muhammed.

For security reasons, the police have withheld the suspect’s identity.

However, he remains in custody while investigations continue.
