Nollywood actor Yul Edochie said that people who are familiar with all the characters in the Bible but lack knowledge of their own ancestors are “Lost.”

He made this comment in a statement on Sunday, urging Nigerians to look into their heritage.

Edochie pointed out that people who don’t know about the accomplishments of their ancestors, like their great-grandmothers and grandfathers, should be ashamed.

He wrote, “If you’re an African, and you know all about Peter, Paul, Joseph in the Bible and the people of Israel, and yet you know nothing about your village, your ancestors, your lineage, the exploits of your great grandfathers and grandmothers, you should be ashamed of yourself.
