Paramount Home Entertainment has announced the Star Trek: Section 31 digital, 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD release date for CBS Studios’ first Star Trek TV movie, starring Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh. This comes after over a month since the sci-fi adventure movie made its debut on Paramount+.
“In the film, Michelle Yeoh reprises her fan-favorite role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou. She joins a secret division of Starfleet tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets, while facing the sins of her past,” reads the official synopsis.
When is the Star Trek: Section 31 digital, 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD release date?
Star Trek: Section 31 will be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting on April 29, 2025. In addition, the movie will also be arriving on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on the same day as its digital release. Besides Yeoh, the cast also includes Robert Kazinsky (Pacific Rim), Kacey Rohl (Hannibal), Sven Ruygrok (One Piece), James Hiroyuki Liao (Barry), Humberly Gonzalez (Ginny & Georgia) and Joe Pingue (The Expanse), with Miku Martineau (Kate) portraying a young Philippa Georgiou.
The film was directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi from a screenplay written by Craig Sweeny, based on a story by Bo Yeon Kim and Erika Lippoldt. Section 31 is executive produced by Yeoh, Osunsanmi, Alex Kurtzman, Craig Sweeny, Aaron Baiers, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Eugene Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth. It is a production by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. Since making its debut, the film has received negative reviews from critics and audiences alike. It currently holds a Tomatometer rating of 19% on Rotten Tomatoes.
