Actress Kate Henshaw advices women to take self-defence classes
Kate Henshaw has encouraged women to enroll in self-defense classes to equip themselves with the skills necessary to protect against domestic violence and potential threats from men.
In an exclusive interview with Saturday Beats, she stated, “We all just have to be careful, and to the women who are mostly the victims, I would say, we have to be careful and take self-defence classes if possible so they can protect themselves.”
Additionally, she called on all states to adopt the measures implemented by the Lagos State Government aimed at eliminating sexual and domestic violence.
She added, “I would want other states to take on the template that Lagos State has set with regards to s3xual violence. They just launched an app where you can report incidences incognito through a digital platform which is very good.I enjoin other states to follow that template and even do better to make sure that they protect women, and of course the men too. I don’t understand what is happening in society these days. It just feels like it’s not ours any longer.”
