Abu Radde, bandits kingpin’s supporters surrender arms after leader’s death

Operation Fasan Yamma, OPFY, has reported that its troops in Katsina State have recorded a major breakthrough in its fight against banditry.

It disclosed that a notorious bandit kingpin, Abu Radde and his fighters surrendered to security forces, releasing 10 kidnapped victims as part of a peace accord brokered by security agencies and local authorities.

Intelligence sources confirmed that Abu Radde, alongside an associate of Audu Lankai, Ori, Gila, Adamu Gurbi, Nawagini, Umar Black, Margyal, and Aloda, approached security officials seeking for reconciliation through non-kinetic means.

DAILY POST also gathered that a high-level meeting convened at Kwari Village Primary School in Jibia Local Government Area saw stakeholders engage in peace talks with the armed group.

Following the agreement, the bandits agreed to lay down their arms, signaling a commitment to ending hostilities in the region.

It was also learnt that the gang handed over two AK-47 rifles to the military and unconditionally freed ten hostages, who were promptly taken to a general hospital for medical evaluation.

The repentant bandits pledged to release more captives and vowed to cease attacks on communities within the area.
