Six women rescued as bandits kill two in Katsina

Armed bandits launched a violent attack on Musawa town late Friday night, killing two people and abducting six women.

According to a post by security analyst Bakatsine on his official X handle on Saturday, the attack occurred around 11 p.m.

“Yesterday night, around 11PM, bandits attacked Musawa town. During the attack, they killed two people and abducted six women,” he wrote.

However, swift intervention by members of the Community Watch Corps (CWC) led to the successful rescue of the abducted women.

“With the intervention and efforts of CWC members, the women were successfully rescued,” the post added.

Authorities are yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
