Diewait has several siblings, including brothers. He attended Comprehensive High School in Awo-Omamma, Imo State, before earning a Higher National Diploma in Marketing from Kaduna State Polytechnic.
He completed his National Service at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria and later obtained a postgraduate diploma in Marketing from Enugu State University of Science and Technology. Diewait is of Igbo descent from the southeastern region of Nigeria and practices Christianity.

Diewait Ikpechukwu is a respected Nollywood actor whose career took off after his time with NITEL, where his talents were first noticed. He was subsequently invited to join the cast of the NTA Enugu production Second Chance alongside Chief Zebrudaya.
In 1998, he marked his feature film debut in Evil Men, playing the Igwe (king) role alongside other Nollywood greats like Pete Edochie, Alex Usifo, and Liz Benson.
