Daredevil: Born Again Producer on if Elektra Could Appear After Deadpool & Wolverine

Producer Sana Amanat recently shared her thoughts about Elodie Yung’s possible return as Elektra in Daredevil: Born Again after Jennifer Garner reprised the role in the 2024 movie Deadpool & Wolverine.

Elodie Yung made her debut in Marvel as Elektra Natchios in Netflix’s Daredevil Season 2 released in March 2016 and then appeared in The Defenders. Now, with so many returning characters in the upcoming Daredevil series, fans have been anticipating her comeback as well.

Sana Amanat on whether Elektra and the Hand could be in Daredevil: Born Again

Marvel Studios executive producer Sana Amanat, who has worked on projects like Ms Marvel and the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again, recently addressed the possibility of Elodie Yung returning as Elektra along with the shadowy Hand organization.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Amanat was asked whether Elektra and the Hand have any chance of appearing in the series, and in response, she said, “One hundred percent it’s in the back of our heads. Eventually, we’ll try to figure out a bit more with that.” Elektra was an important part of Daredevil’s life in the Netflix series. Soon after her introduction in Season 2, Yung’s Elektra and Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock engaged in a romantic relationship.

During a 2016 interview with Business Insider, Cox referred to Elektra as “the most exciting, the most dangerous” character. He further stated that their relationship was “wonderful and terrible all at the same time. It’s life-giving and life-destroying simultaneously.”

Elodie Yung also expressed her desire to return as Elektra in Daredevil: Born Again in a March 2024 conversation with TooFab. She said, “I would love that. It’s so funny because my fans are like, ‘Can you come back?’ and I’m like, ‘Ask Mr. Marvel,’ you have to ask Mr. Marvel for that, not me, because I would gladly replay this part. She’s fierce. She’s a sociopath. She’s so much fun.”
