Zamfara lecturer regains freedom after one months in bandits’ captivity

The former Head of Mass Communication Department at Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, Malam Aliyu Damri has regained freedom from bandits.

DAILY POST recalls that he was kidnapped along with his son and six other victims at his residence in Bakura town, the headquarters of Bakura local government Council of Zamfara State.

His release was confirmed in a statement by his family.

However, the statement didn’t mention whether the victims were released after payment of ransom or were rescued by the military troops.

“We are highly thrilled for his freedom and pray Allah to give him quick recovery from the shock”, the family added.
