Midnight fire wipes out homes, food stores in Kano village da

A devastating midnight fire swept through Satigal village in Bunkure Local Government Area of Kano State, destroying several homes, livestock, and six grain silos.

According to a statement signed by the Zonal Information Officer, Rano Rabi’u Kura, community members battled the raging flames, preventing further destruction and rescuing lives and properties.

The incident was later reported to the Emir of Rano, Dr. Muhammad Isa Umaru, at his palace.

The village head of Satigal, along with other residents, visited the emir to detail the extent of the damage.

He revealed that six households, essential goods, stored grains, cattle, and personal belongings worth millions of naira had been lost in the fire.

The blaze was reportedly sparked by an unattended cooking fire left burning by one of the affected families.

Fortunately, no lives were lost in the inferno.

Sympathizing with the victims, the emir extended his support with a donation of N200,000 to aid their recovery.
