Police begin investigation as Lagos residents intercept three kidnappers in viral video
The Lagos State Police Command has commenced an investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the activities of three suspected kidnappers captured in a viral video.
A video clip that recently went viral on social media captured three suspected kidnappers allegedly caught in Victory Estate Ago Palace, Lagos.
In the video sighted by our correspondent, some residents could be seen interrogating the suspects, who confessed that they were kidnappers.
Sharing the video in a post on his official X handle on Wednesday, the Police Public Relations Officer of the state, Benjamin Hundeyin said though the “matter was not reported to the police”, investigations have commenced.
He wrote, “Investigations have commenced to unravel what truly transpired, locate the men and take further necessary actions.
“The estate chairman, two other exco members and a resident are currently assisting the Police with the ongoing investigations.
“Further updates will be provided in due course”.
