The Batman Part II Update From Robert Pattinson Reveals Filming Window
Robert Pattinson has given a filming update for The Batman Part II.
Pattinson will return as Bruce Wayne in The Batman Part II, which is scheduled to be released in United States theaters in 2027. Matt Reeves is also returning to direct the sequel after helming the first movie.
Speaking with Deadline, Pattinson shared an updated production window for the forthcoming DC movie.
What did Robert Pattinson say about The Batman Part II?
“We haven’t shot it, yet,” Pattinson said of The Batman Part II. He went on to say that he believes the film will go into production at “the end of the year.”
Pattinson declined to reveal any story details but did say, “It’s cool.”
Plot details for The Batman Part II remain under wraps at this time, though Reeves has previously said that The Penguin serves as a gateway into the new movie. Andy Serkis, who played Alfred Pennyworth in the first movie, also recently said that Reeves has now told him the story for The Batman Part II and that he’s “so excited for it.”
Reeves’ The Batman was released in March 2022. The first chapter in a shared universe called the Batman Epic Crime Saga — which is different than James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU shared universe — the movie also stars Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as James “Jim” Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone (Mark Strong then stepped into the role in The Penguin), and Colin Farrell as Oz/Penguin.
“Batman ventures into Gotham City’s underworld when a sadistic killer leaves behind a trail of cryptic clues,” a description of the first movie reads. “As the scale of the perpetrator’s plans become clear, he must bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that plagues the metropolis.”
The Batman Part II will be released in United States theaters on October 1, 2027, from Warner Bros.
