Michael B. Jordan ‘Proud’ of Jonathan Majors, Would Work With Creed III Star Again

Michael B. Jordan says he still wants to work with Jonathan Majors.

Jordan previously directed Majors in 2023’s Creed III, which Jordan also starred in. The film received positive reviews from critics at the time and made over $276 million at the worldwide box office.

Around the time of Creed III’s release, Majors and Jordan told The New York Times they planned to continue to work together and hoped to become the next Robert De Niro and Al Pacino.

“We’re excited about that, and I have those conversations with him,” Jordan said. “Acting is such a solo journey, where you’re fighting for your place on that call sheet for such a long time. So when you’ve got somebody that doesn’t care as much about that stuff, it’s like, ‘Let’s go. How much damage can we do together?’”

It wasn’t long after that, however, when Majors was arrested and eventually convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend in December 2023. Marvel Studios cut ties with Majors, who played Kang the Conqueror in a number of MCU projects, while Searchlight Pictures dropped his Magazine Dreams movie. Magazine Dreams was then picked up by Briarcliff Entertainment and will now be released on March 21, 2025.

What did Michael B. Jordan say about Jonathan Majors?

Speaking with GQ Magazine, Jordan said it was a “tough situation” to watch unfold regarding everything that’s happened with Majors in the past year.

He continued, “But he’s doing great, just got engaged. I’m proud of his resilience and his strength through it all, and [his] handling [of] it. I’m glad he’s good. That’s my boy.”

When asked if he would work with Majors again, Jordan said, “Yes. Yes.”

Jordan will soon be seen starring in a dual role in Ryan Coogler’s Sinners movie, which opens in United States theaters on April 18, 2025.
